Costs & Legal Fees

If you have been issued with a settlement agreement, it is very likely your employer will make a contribution towards the cost of advice from a solicitor, which may meet all of our costs. If it does not, we can ask for an increase or advise you early on likely costs.

If you are taking a claim to an employment tribunal, check whether you have legal expenses insurance, which may cover some or all of our costs; a substantial proportion of home contents policies carry this cover, and you have the right to appoint your own solicitor.

If you are paying privately, we will give you an estimate at the outset and keep you updated on costs as the case proceeds. Employers may also have legal expenses insurance which could cover some or all of our costs if facing a tribunal claim.
